Creaform China and Rapidform Announce 3D Scanning Solutions Agreement
Seoul, Korea – December 1, 2011 – INUS Technology, Inc. (www.rapidform.com), world leader in 3D scanning software, is pleased to announce a new sales agreement with Creaform China, subsidiary of Canadian Creaform, leader in portable 3D optical measurement technologies (www.creaform3d.com). The two companies are working together to offer Creaform’s easy-to-use, portable and accurate Handyscan 3D laser scanners with Rapidform’s industry-leading reverse engineering and inspection software.
“Creaform China signed up Rapidform as a strategic sales partner in China,” said Mike Ma, General Manager of Creaform China. “We have decided to focus on selling Rapidform software with our industrial 3D scanners for win-win cooperation in reverse engineering and inspection.”
Calvin Hur, CEO of INUS Technology, added “By electing to bundle Rapidform software with Creaform 3D scanners in the Chinese market, we are able to present customers with an excellent solution for professional-level reverse engineering and inspection.”
Rapidform’s XOR software enables manufacturers to scan an object with a Creaform Handyscan 3D scanner and quickly create a parametric CAD model of the physical object. XOR is the only software to combine the power of 3D scan data processing with CAD solid modeling in one application, which makes it the fastest path to CAD, while Creaform’s Handyscan 3D laser scanners are the only truly portable metrology-grade handheld 3D laser scanners on the market.
With a Handyscan 3D scanner and Rapidform XOV, manufacturers can scan parts to verify their accuracy back to a CAD model automatically. It is the fastest way to compare a real-world part to its original CAD design to verify manufacturing accuracy.
