Rapidform and Metris USA Announce Sales Agreement

Seoul, South Korea – May 9, 2008, Rapidform, Inc. (www.rapidform.com), and Metris USA announce that they have entered into an agreement wherein Metris will offer Rapidform 3D scanning software with Metris’ range of 3D scanning systems. Metris is offering Rapidform XOR, XOS and XOV software tools for creating CAD models from 3D scan data and performing dimensional inspection based on scan and probing data, enhancing Metris’ position as a world-class metrology solutions provider.

Metris is offering Rapidform XOR, XOS and XOV software tools for creating CAD models from 3D scan data and performing dimensional inspection based on scan and probing data, enhancing Metris’ position as a world-class metrology solutions provider.

Our laser scanner data is an open system for any 3rd party software but we anticipate that XOR will be a strong addition, offering the optimal solution for building CAD models from scan data. The CAD Correct function within XOR will be of particular use to our customers engaged in sheet metal stamping and tooling.” CAD Correct is an innovative tool to quickly adjust an original CAD model to correspond with 3D scan data of the tool after hand-working.
