Capture Design Intent
In Rapidform XOR, you're not just capturing the shape of the scanned object, you're capturing its original design intent as well. XOR automatically detects features, such as revolves, extrusions, sweeps and fillets, on the scanned object. Finished CAD models from XOR are “intelligent” – they contain both form and function. Because the models are made up of features extracted from scans, rather than just surfaces that are fit to scan data, they are much cleaner and have defined dimensions and constraints. Depending on the need, you may want your reverse engineered models to match the exact geometry of the real world part, including all of its imperfections. What's New button
What's New button is added in the title bar of InspectWorks. This button opens the .pdf file which describes enhanced functions and fixed bugs of current InspectWorks version.
Release Note
InspectWorks Release Notes command is added to the Help menu. This command opens the .pdf file which describes the whole version history of InspectWorks.
Deactivate InspectWorks
When you are running InspectWorks, Help > Deactivate InspectWorks License is disabled.
Import message
When you click the Cancel button on the Import dialog box, the message box says “failed to open the file”. This dialog box is removed.
Result of GD&T
Now, the Result in annotation of GD&T distinguishes two kinds of abnormal case: UNSUPPORTED (unsupported GD&T) and No Result (supported GD&T but no result from scan data)
Whole Deviation error message
When you fail to mark deviation points on a model, the error message is changed from “Failed to find intersection” to “Failed to find deviation value. Please Pick On Model”.
Report cover page

Enhancements
Quick Align method in the Align stage
Quick Align method is added under Auto Best Fit in the Align stage. This option is on by default. However, if you want to just apply the Auto Best Fit method to initially aligned scan data without the Quick Align method, uncheck this option.
Show/Hide a Scan and/or a Body in the Align stage
Show Scan Data and Show Body options are added in the Align stage.
Color Expansion in the Whole Deviation stage
Color Expansion option is added under Options in the Whole Deviation stage. If there is no facet projected from the scan data to the design data, there is no color map either. In this case, you need to slide the bar to the right so that the no facet area will be filled with adjacent colors. The more you slide the bar to the right, the more design data will be color mapped.
Color Bar
Previously, the middle range of the color bar has similar color with the Allowable Tolerance color (green) and it makes users confused. Now positive color and negative color are clearly classified comparing to the Allowable Tolerance color.
Comparison Point
In the Comparison Points stage, a setting control for Tolerance is added under Options. You can input minimum and maximum of tolerance value for comparison points.

Digital teeth Impression

Rapidform XOV2 introduced a new user interface that made inspecting parts easier and faster than ever before. Rapidform XOV2’s first service pack adds several new capabilities and tweaks that continue this evolution. As always, we listen closely to users and many of the new features you’ll find in Rapidform XOV2 Service Pack 1 are driven directly by feedback from our customers.

Expanded CAD Compatibility
Rapidform XOV2 Service Pack1 enhances its ability to open native CAD files from CATIA V5, Pro/ENGINEER and Siemens NX with additional features.  The PMI Import Wizard now recognizes material conditions (MMC/LMC) defined on Datums, as well as notes, linear dimensions on cylinders, and angular dimensions on circular entities.  If you define product manufacturing information such as GD&T callouts on your CAD models, XOV doesn’t require any re-entry of data.

Trend Reporting
Rapidform XOV2 now includes a new utility to generate trend analysis reports from multiple part inspections.  Combined with XOV’s batch inspection processing capability, you can now scan tens, hundreds or thousands of samples, and the software will automatically open, align, measure and report on every part fully automatically. Enhanced CMM Simulation
Rapidform XOV2’s virtual probing tool allows you to virtually touch-probe your scan data like a CMM does in real life. Pick a point on your nominal model, and XOV will approach it with a virtual probe until it “touches” the scan data and create a reference point at that location. Rapidform XOV2 Service Pack 1 enhances the visual representation of this simulation by showing sphere and disk probe types.

Additional 3D Scanner Interfaces
Rapidform XOV2 Service Pack1 supports live scanning for more 3D scanners now, with liveScan interfaces for 64-bit versions of the FARO arm, Breuckmann white-light scanner and adds support for the Kreon Solano 3D scanner.
