What's New in XOR2 Service Pack 0 & XOR2 Service Pack 1
XOR2 Service Pack 1 is just released.
The newest version of the most powerful 3D scanning software, Rapidform XOR2, is a continuation of Rapidform's innovative approach to scan data processing and parametric solid modeling. XOR2, offering more than 200 enhancements and new functions, automates processes and provides complete control of the 3D scanning workflow.

• Loft Wizard
This patent-pending technology automatically creates high quality lofted surfaces from scan data. From a mesh region, the Loft Wizard generates smooth lofted surfaces and profile curves within a user controlled tolerance.
• One button CAD Correct™
With XOR2, you can import an existing CAD model and update the geometry to match a scanned physical part. CAD-to-Scan "Refit" provides an easy way to update the CAD model to reflect the As-Built geometry. With XOR's Refit technology, G2 continuity and G2 continuity matching are guaranteed throughout the updated surfaces. For example, Refit enables users, like stamping- die designers, to easily correct their CAD model to reflect hand-made modifications.
• Local modification(Redesign) for CAD Correct™
Missing CAD design features which exist in an actual part due to manual tryout or hand-crafted processes can be easily and accurately redesigned directly on the original CAD data using 3D scan data of the actual part. Redesign Assistant™ allows a user to easily extract all key design parameters from 3D scan data to update and redesign the original CAD data.
• Auto and intelligently guided 3D feature line design tool
Feature lines representing high curvature regions are just a click away. While designing interpolation curves on mesh, XOR2 visually guides users to pick a point on curvature flows of 3D scan data.
• Augmented liveTransfer™(modeling history CAD translation)
Real-time and feature-by-feature CAD translation compatibility checking and warning:
No more searching for the erroneous results of CAD incompatibilities! The CAD compatibility wizard flags operations that will not translate smoothly into the selected CAD program and suggests alternative techniques. Improvement has been made to:

• liveScan™(direct scanner control) enables you to operate your scanner from
within XOR. All of the features and intuitive controls are incorporated, giving the user the means to capture and process data all in the Rapidform environment. Supported scanners include: Faro, Perceptron+Cimcore, Kreon, Cimcore Arm Probe, Romer Arm, Steinbichler T-Scan, API IntelliScan & IntelliProbe and others.
- Touch Probe Support: In addition to direct scanning, probing is also supported to
define primitives(vector, plane, etc), thereby supporting alignments using probed datum features. Probing is also supported to create freeform interpolation curves and surfaces.

User Interface
•User Defined Mesh Boundary Color
New check box called Boundary is newly added in the Display panel.
If you select this option as User Defined, boundary color will be displayed as your definition in the Preferences.
• Viewing all Entities as Identical Color
New option called Front Face is added in the Display panel.
If you set this option as "All The Same", all entities will be displayed with default color(Gray) regardless of its material, texture or vertex/ face color
• New Rotation Viewpoint
Rotate CCW, CW, and Flip viewpoint is newly added under the Viewpoint menu.
General
• Various add-in commands for scan data processing
Newly designed boundary editing tools allow user to clean up boundary noise easily and quickly.
• Offset point clouds
You can offset not only a point cloud but also poly-vertices with a specific distance.
• Mirror meshes
Symmetrical part can be easily built up using a mirroring plane which is automatically extracted.
• Remove Marker
File import option has been newly added to the Remove Marker function If you have AICON's(*.obc) file which has coordinate information of index marker, you can import it and use its information to remove marker shape from the mesh.
• Best-in-class hole filling
A wide variety of tools for filling hole allow user to make a qualified polygonal model quickly from an imperfect model.
• Mesh Buildup Wizard
The Mesh Buildup Wizard has been enhanced about user convenience and interface
- Every stage has Edit Tools option so that user can edit the result in current stage.
- Every stage has Apply button so that user can check a result in current stage.
- You can classify entities as Removing or Keeping data during the process by showing or hiding entities in the "Entity Thumbnail" panel.
Solid / Surface / Feature
• Loft Wizard
The Loft Wizard has been enhanced so that you can easily define section plane and profile. You can easily set the position of section plan and add new section plane if needed when you check the result by Accuracy Analyzer™.
• Transform Body
Datum Alignment method has been newly added in the Transform Body You can transform bodies to other bodies or meshes using its datum.
• Tangent Ref. Vector
Tangent method has been newly added in the Ref.Vector If 2D / 3D Sketch Curve and Point are already defined, you can easily create Tangent Vector on the Curve
• CAD Refit
Greatly enhanced options have been newly added in the CAD Refit.
You can define Loosely Fitting Face, Tightly Fitting Face, and Free Faces by the Group Faces By Stiffness option. And also control its Weightiness which is related with Loose and Tight Fitting. Now, Possible to apply CAD Refit to the selected faces considering spring-back effect by the Projection Multiplier
Sketch
• Import external CAD sketches
2D drawing files(DXF, IGES, STEP and VDA-FS) from other CAD system can be imported as sketch entities into XOR’s sketch.
• Smooth Curve
Partial Range option has been newly added in the Smooth so that you can apply smoothing to 3D Mesh Sketch and 3D Sketch Curve
• Silhouette curve Redesign Assistant™ tool has been added to extract curve
parameters from 3D scan data.
• Parabola curve Redesign Assistant™ tool has been added to extract curve
parameters from 3D scan data.
liveScan™
• Breuckmann Scanner Direct Controller
Brecukmann Direct Controller has been newly added in the Scanner Direct Control menu. You can directly control the Breuckmann scanner as well as turn table in the application.
